From March 20th to March 22nd, 2024, the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients Exhibition (PCHi) is held as scheduled at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC). Nearly 800 companies from all over the world participated in this exhibition. The exhibits mainly cover several major categories such as whitening and lightening, sun protection and anti-inflammation, wrinkle removal and anti-aging, calming and soothing, hydrating and moisturizing, hair moisturizing and preventing hair loss. The products include botanical extracts, fermented raw materials and oral beauty products, it is a leadership summit for the personal care products and cosmetics industries.
This exhibition has a total of 3 exhibition halls. Hall 1 is for the Korean & Japanese & American Pavilion, Overseas Exhibition Area, and Equipment Base Materials Exhibition Area; Hall 2 is for the German & French Pavilion, Overseas Exhibition Area, and Testing Laboratory Area; Hall 3 mainly contains Flavor and Fragrance Area, Green and Sustainable Area, Oral Beauty Experience Area, and Innovative Technology Display Area. From the zoning of the exhibition hall, we can see that people are more inclined to choose cosmetic raw materials from imported sources, with Japan, South Korea, Europe and the United States as the main areas of choice.
This exhibition also has some star products and innovative products. Among them, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic botanical extract ingredients, such as Gotu Kola Extract, Rhubarb Extract, Gentian Extract, Flavescent Sophora Root Extract, etc., have attracted unanimous attention from domestic and foreign exhibitors; in addition, same as food, brand owners of skin care products are also paying more and more attention to clean labels and paying more attention to raw materials with multiple functions. New technologies, such as cell tissue culture, also shined at this exhibition.
